Before going to bed last night, I had planned a lovely Monday which was to entail heading to the Van Gogh museum at opening time, biking over to a little shop that sells Nijntje items, going to the grocery store, home, dinner, out for stich n' bitch. Didn't happen.
I awoke as scheduled, feeling refreshed, sat up took the first deep breath of the day and began to hack up a lung. At least the creeping crud hasn't managed to find a secure grip on my lungs. Not much physical activity today. I had breakfast and watched Storm Stories (in English) on t.v. - about hurricane Andrew in 1992. It was fun to see Jim Cantore with hair.
While enthralled by the images of destruction, I did manage to finish the moebius scarf I had started last Monday. It is not particularly attractive, but I am nonetheless pleased with myself as it is finished and finished correctly. I love it in all its imperfection.
I shall make another, more attractive one now that I've got the trick of it down.
Around 3pm, I decided to go get AAA batteries (for the bike lights) and food. Didn't find the batteries (I realized after leaving the house that I didn't want to interact with people, so I wouldn't ask where the batteries were in the first store and when I did ask in the grocery store, the check-out girl looked at me like I was insane, even while I was pointing to the locked cabinet that held what I was after). At least I have food now.
I am going to cook some of it and then I'm going to snb.
