Thursday

Thursday.

Well, I've gotten all the photos on my computer. Had to get rid of some music I'll never listen to and the cleaning felt good. I don't have wireless at home now (Monsieur Dad needs to hook the router back up), but I will be organizing them next week and hope to have a lovely link or at least a photo or two for you shortly after Thanksgiving.

It is nice to be back, but driving has me a little dazed. In only six weeks I'd forgotten how rude and reckless American drivers are. In the Netherlands - even in France - they are crazy and fast, but I don't have the same level of fear that I do here. Fear that they won't stop at the red light, fear that they won't yield to oncoming traffic (me), fear that they'll run me off the road because I'm only doing 50 in a 45 residential zone. I have been driving slower than is my wont and I feel safer for it.

I'm going to have a snack and go attack my room. It's stacked at least three feet high and there is but a wee goat path from the door to the bed. There's not even a connecting line to the dresser, if it's not on one of the stacks, it cannot be worn. I'm taking a wad of large black garbage bags up with me and will not leave the room until at least one of them has been filled. Wish me luck.
