Whew.

We're finished with the intensive training on the computer system. The afternoon was spent shadowing someone. My person was lovely and reminded me much of myself, so of course I think I will like her very much. Also, watching someone actually working was a comfort - it doesn't seem so impossible when you see work being done and things being accomplished.

Our desks will be in a room with windows at the front of the building. I am pleased to know that I will be less than 20 feet from a window. There is a smaller room within the room where three unforunate souls will have their desks. I say unfortunate for that is the room where all of our files will be. To sit in there with all that dusty and who knows what else paper would kill me, I think. Though, now that I've had that thought, we all know where my desk will be. Regardless, I think it will be just fine.

It was cool and perfectly Spring this morning with a brisk wind and beautiful clouds. This afternoon it was hot. A hot that is full of the promise of weather to come.
