Saturday

beeeeutiful weather

Today was sunny and warm and windy. This afternoon/evening was good. I left work at 4:30. I know, an 8 hour day! It was well done. I sat in the arm chair with the windows open wide and the sun and breeze streaming in while I read. I tidied a bit (I'm letting housekeeping in tomorrow and always feel a need to tidy before this happens, as if they care), had a nice cup of tea, washed dishes. I feel so much better than yesterday. That hit-by-a-truck feeling was with me when I woke up yesterday. I left work at 1:30, put myself to bed and felt better today. After today's quiet afternoon and tomorrow's lovely day, I anticipate a much more pleasant me.

I am very much looking forward to my tomorrow. I shall drop my car partner off at work around 8:20. I will take 183W to the 820 Loop to I-30 heading to Ft. Worth. Breakfast will be at 7th Street Cafe (looked like a nice place, recommended by cityguide). After breakfast, I'll take a right onto University to the corner of University and White Settlement (only in Texas) to wander peacefully in Greenwood Cemetery. Hopefully to snap an occasional stunning photograph. When I've had enough of strolling amongst the dead, I'll head back down University Drive to the Modern Art Museum where I plan to while away a couple of hours. As if one museum isn't plenty, a short walk will bring me to the Kimball Art Musuem, said to be one of the most beautiful in the country. More stunning photographs? I'll have lunch at the Kimball.

There's more. The final stop will be the Botanic Garden. It should be in the 70s tomorrow, so I'll likely be there with a few hundred other like-minded folks, but I'll be okay. I've been so much on my own that I'm minding less and less to be surrounded by people.
