I was chastised this weekend for neglecting my blog... I apologize. I've slipped into the quiet stupor of a no internet-no cable-no vacuum-no toaster life. I am reading. Books I've long thought would be a good read are being read. Howard's End, for example. I'd managed to avoid the movie for one reason or another, so the story was unexpected. A delightful surprise. My mission now is to read all of E.M. Forster's books; a blessing and a sadness that he only wrote a few.
My posts are fairly regular and a bit more entertaining when I'm somewhere other than where I live; I leave April 19th for Europe and return May 24th. The plans aren't settled, but do include County Clare (Ireland), London, St. Petersburg, Moscow and Amsterdam. I've still to work my way through the maze of Russian visas and little has been planned in the way of Ireland and London touring, but I am looking forward to this trip. The anticipation is more subdued than for my last trip, I think because of the unfamiliarity with Ireland and Russia.
