Heading off to Helen, GA for a few days in the mountains with the family.
I was wandering around my computer and I found this never posted post from October 9, 2007:
"I’m driving down the road, happily bopping along to Travis or my latest drivelly obsession – the album “Strange and Beautiful” by Aqualung (damn car commercials, I curse VW for starting the whole lets have catchy pop-y tunes that will stick in folks heads mercilessly). So, I’m driving along merrily and bam!, I’ll be hit with this wave of nostalgia for whenever/whatever. Yesterday it was daytime excursions in college – when you should be in the library studying, running off to the market for a snack and heading off to the park to sit in the sunshine."
Yes, Fall is the time for nostalgia. I love September; the quality of the sunlight, the changing temperatures, kids back in school, I still have a fresh-start feeling each September. Almost as good as the fresh-start feeling in Spring.
