The neighbor down the street was using his chainsaw at 8-o-clock at night in 35 degree weather. He is scary.
I've taught two classes of the English class. The second class went much better - I was only about 20% terrible. And maybe even 20% quite good. That would be the 20% of class where I tossed out candy for correct answers. I am not above bribery, no ma'am. The class did go well, on the whole. I had all but three of the 13 initial class show up and an additional 5 enrolled this past Saturday. Next week will be the test... how many will come back for more? I don't think the class is boring, but I fear I may not be as well understood as I think I am.
Domestic day, yesterday. After breakfast with JJeo (sister, binlaw, niece, nephew), I made lots of cranberry oatmeal cookies, southern caviar and chex mix. Then I watched the Superbowl. I will say that most of the commercials disappointed me, but I do understand that I am not of the testosterone influenced target audience. I must also mention The Who. The performance made me a little sad, despite the amazingness of the light display.
I've started math review for the GRE. Oy. More math knowledge has leeched from my brain than I had anticipated.
Going to Nashville this Saturday evening for a concert with H. and E. Sondre Lerche (note: link plays a clip) at 12th & Porter. A 24-hour girl's night out. Two of my favorite people going with me to hear one of my favorite artists.
Upon returning to Atlanta, I will hunker down on the couch to watch a few hours of fast cars turning left. The Daytona 500! Happy indeed am I that race season is here. I shall be happier still come 7:30 a.m. March 14th when the Formula 1 begins in Bahrain.
