Post script - the sunburn on my face... it is terrible. Six hours in the bright, unfettered October sun and I show every minute of it. Yes, I wore a hat. Yes, I applied sunscreen before I left the house. Next time, I might just wear a veil.
Tuesday
First race recap must wait...
Because there are so many of you that couldn't give a rat's patoot about NASCAR, I want my post to be at it's most entertaining. Right now, I'm tired and I must finish packing for my trip to Mississippi (to visit my friend T. from Texas, her two girls and her hubby). So I wait. Here's a picture of me and my Uncle W post-race, sunburned and happy (my boy Jimmie Johnson had a surprising, but nonetheless fantastically welcome, win).

Somehow, I'm not sure a veil would go over well with the south GA Nascar crowd.
