I was just on the Republican National Convention website. It seems geared only towards the delegates – lots of stuff on NYC and what to do, where to go, orientation type stuff, but I couldn’t find a list of speakers or even a tentative schedule. Maybe I’m an idiot. As for the site itself, the design is clean and pleasing. I hate to admit it, but it’s easier on the eyes than the Dems’ site, even if less useful.
I can’t wait to see the Republicans on parade. I wonder if they’ll also have the tacky coordinating signs for the major speeches. I hope the GOP will be as full of promises and pie-in-the-sky ideas. I’d rather have speeches full of what they will do than what the other guy has done wrong. With all these negative ads coming to light (admittedly not all officially GOP sanctioned) I’m expecting a little less pollyanna and a little more bashing.
I finished the lavender curs’ed cotton top. It is the most unflattering beast of a knit thing ever produced by human hands. My body is transformed into something saggy and bulbous by the top. Blech! It is destined for the home-no-one-to-see-me wardrobe. Ah, well, it’s done and it’s soft and I am happy enough to have simply finished with this curs’ed yarn.
On to something lovelier. I've so many to choose from - a black and red scarf for H., a blue and grey scarf, a maroon and ocre Harry Potter inspired scarf (HP3, of course), a sherbet colored rug, a couple more sunburst bags, booties to donate to a hospice, and oh so many other things. I sorted through my loose stash (that which had not previously been shoved into one of too many large plastic bins) and random half-started project bags and am overwhelmed by the myriad choices before me. If you see me go to buy yarn, please take my keys.
