Sunday

It's Sunday, dontcha know.

I've been keeping a journal, but I'm not certain I want to post everything I write there. Too much information to share.

I've decided to get a tattoo! Yes, after many years of eschewing the pain, I've chosen an image and am now working on chosing a place.

I've recently grown frustrated with this whole computer, internet, digital pictures thing. I want to post more pictures here, but it takes so frickin' long to upload that I just don't have the patience. We'll see. Now that I've got access to dsl wherever I hang my hat, I might start to focus, but really I'd rather be making pillows.

Yes. Pillows. I've strayed from knitting and now want to start making those useless little pillows you receive as gifts and think "what the hell am I supposed to do with this?" Nothing! Toss it on the couch for company to move when they think they've sat on a baseball. Oh, what's this useless little pillow? A friend gave me a box of her grandmother's clothing and hats and there are lots of possiblities in that box.

I'm going to call my friends and see if our trip to the Pride parade is still on. Don't know how keen I am to be rained on, but it'll still be fun. I love Pride weekend. Friday I was sitting at the intersection of gay and gay (10th and Piedmont - do you disagree with me?) and watched the folks in the crosswalk. I love that people can celebrate who they are and what they want openly and without fear. It's sad that it's only for a weekend. But the idea of this weekend makes me happy.

pillows!! how fun! i've been wanting to pull out my vintage sewing machine for ages and even bought extra fabric when i recovered my desk chair to make a matching bolster for my bed. i have had quite the passion for pillows lately, looking at them online, but never actually purchasing. sometimes, simply drooling over lovely fabric sates my pillow desire.

good for you for actually putting in the effort to create them!

I have heard of this place in Roswell, I think, that sells wonderful materials, ribbons etc for pillow making. They also have classes.
Also, uploading photos to your site, you just need to decrease the size of them. Because you take such hi-res, they are larger file size than necessary.
