Sunday

July 3rd, the day we don't celebrate.

I'm heading out to Athens this afternoon to see J&J's new place. Fun family time.

I went to the tattoo place yesterday. It wasn't intimidating; though, I confess that I was nervous before I even got out of the car. A fact-finding trip and I was nervous. Hmmm. Rob, the artist who'll be doing the drawing, is nice enough. Not condescending, not overly friendly. His shoes were clean. Worn, but not dirty. I think that's a good sign. He had his feet propped up on the table, I couldn't help but notice.

I'll make an appointment for next Saturday afternoon. Maybe I'll have it done Thursday. Nothing doing Thursday. Hmmm. The tattoo is going to be a bit larger than I intended, but not big enough to be garish. That'll come later.

I've thought of what the next one will be (I don't even know if I'll be a big baby and I'm planning the next one...). A symbol of my obsession - a stitch marker. Knitters will know and others will think it some symbol that I must have found in some obsure, dead language.

Off to Athens.
