There's public art scattered about this city in unexpected places. This particular one is in memory of prostitutes and is among the cobblestones that cover the grounds of one of the churches in the red light district. It should be rotated one click to the right, but this is how I saw it. So, you take what you get.
Here's another:
Orange is ubiquitous here.
What does it say about a person when most of their photos are vertical? Really, out of the 227 photos available to me this evening, there are maybe 10 that are horizontal. I'm certain there's some spatial issue I have. Nonetheless, here's another one of the ten. It's the swan from the pond at Castricum:
Oh, and I did get up early today. Cleaned the bathroom, took out the trash. Tomorrow I may go to Haarlem. If I don't go tomorrow, I don't think I'll be going. There's an exhibit of Michaelangelo's drawings and I might need to see that... We'll see how it goes in the morning. I keep reminding myself that I'm on vacation and it's okay to be restful now, for come Tuesday, it's go go go (as much as I go go go) for three weeks.
I've got most of the England trip planned out, but I've not yet figured out the France leg. It'll happen.
FYI: these photos are linked from Creative Memories photo center website. It's where I have my photos printed. I did a little test of Shutterfly, Kodak and Creative Memories. Shutterfly and Creative Memories are a close call, but Kodak was a striking disappointment. The clouds all looked like crappy video game clouds whereas with Shutterfly and CM, they looked like clouds you might actually see in the sky.

Snapfish was very impressive. You should try them.
Most of my pictures are vertical as well. My trusty camera saves them the way I took them so I don't have to rotate them later. My previous camera didn't...
And for the record, french fries with mayo is delicious.
