Yesterday was posted at 12:30 am (I think).

Today was more productive in a tourist way. Went to see the exhibit at the Rijksmuseum, but got off at the wrong tram stop and my day changed course. I walked. A lot. In the sunshine, under changing trees, along busy roads, up single lane residential streets, following tram lines, following canals. No museum time, but a complete day nonetheless.

For some reason I found myself walking as if I had somewhere to go - a clipped, no nonsense pace. I need to cure that or I'll end up with sore feet and having seen nothing for long enough. My quick pace did get me to a fantastic falafal lunch. Also, I did find the yarn store. Afstap.

And it does look like that -- only the yarn in the baskets out front was in blues and greys. Small shop, decent sock yarn and a nice selection of Rowan products. I bought four balls of a light blue cotton/merino 50/50 blend and a circular needle.

I started the moebius scarf this evening and ripped it out. I'm not so good with complicated patterns. So, I've started again and am trying my own pattern. If it doesn't work, we'll rip and try one last time.

The day was brightly beautiful.

And it ended well. M. went rowing and it was just A. and I for dinner. She made this wonderful dish served over couscous. We watched t.v. and knit. All in English with little white Dutch subtitles at the bottom. One thing we watched was Charmed - they're a bit behind here so I get to watch episodes with the lovely Cole. I do have to say that his hair in Nip/Tuck is so much better. After M. returned, we had vla for dessert. Vla is a Dutch favorite - it's like a cross between pudding and yogurt in texture with a light, cold vanilla (ours was vanilla) flavor. I can see why it's a favorite.

Tomorrow is shopping with A. and maybe dinner with some of their friends.

I look forward to this with my morning coffee. But don't feel the pressure. I'm amazed you didn't purchase more yarn. So glad you are having wonderful weather and taking advantage of it.

Good morning! I'm jealous of your fall weather.

Somethimes getting a bit lost and wandering around is the best way to go.

I got all my guests off yesterday and welcomed Mom and Dad.

Also, thought you might wanna know I re-activated my NaNoWriMo account today. Always the optimist.
