Two amazing sights in two days. I've only 15 minutes of computer time today.
Yesterday was fiercly windy and grey, but that didn't matter because the cathedral was beautiful. I took the roof walk tour and it was the best £4.5 I've spent since my arrival. We went up into the roof of the cathedral on our way to the top of the bell tower. We walked along and above the vaulted ceiling among the huge beams. Fantastic.
Saw Nanny McPhee last night (what do you do when it's grey, windy and the rain is coming? You go to see a movie in a cinema with a 400 year old lobby. It is a charming movie, but a little more for the kids than I expected.
Today I went to Stonehenge. A glorious autumn day - fluffy clouds, brisk wind, bright blue sky, pale yellow sun. The stones are set into a shimmering field of bright green grass. Most of my time there was spent soaking in the sun. Not much of a spiritual experience for me, but I wasn't surprised. It's the random, little things that touch my soul - not the megalithic, unreal feats of man.
So. Beautiful day still shining out there, though, not as much as it is after 3pm on an autumn day in England. I shall go get a cup of hot chocolate and, yet again, go sit on a bench in the cathedral close. Ta ta.
Oh, the concert I attended in the cathedral was wonderful. As always, Faure's Requiem brought a mist to my eyes. Truly spectacular in that setting.

Sounds like you are feeling better. Good. I think you have seen and experienced more than most people do in 10 trips to Europe.
