Friday

little post

We checked into the new hotel. Not bad, but certainly not good. It's older and the room is spacious enough with a good kitchen set up. Because it is older there is a little bit of a stale smell and the curtains and carpets aren't clean as I would like hotel curtains and carpets to be. Also, I'm on the first floor, so that means no open windows when I'm sleeping. And no open curtains at all. I work in a windowless room, I don't want to spend my few evening hours in one.

Everyone else was unhappy enough with their room that they will move to a different hotel tomorrow. I think we, my car partner and I, will likely move. Maybe Sunday, maybe next weekend. We'll see how it is the next two nights - we'll see if they get me into a second floor room.

Work was productive. Mundane and clerical, but necessary if we're going to be up and running sooner rather than later. In not too many days, I'll get to the interesting work. I do feel a bit like George Jetson pushing a button all day long. Click, click with the mouse, type a few words, click, click.

The day does go by quickly when I have something to do.
