I went swimming this evening after work. I have joined a gym. Yes, I know, I know. I wanted access to the pool and the macines. I'm excited. My arms are going to be too sore tomorrow, but I look forward to going again Saturday. The water was perfect.
I'm being moved to a different position. Starting Monday I'll be working the swing shift at the other building, working on the team processing initial loan closings. Tuesday my boss took me over to the other building to meet some of the folks I'll be working with. From the ones I met, I got a good impression. The swing shift will be tough at first, I think, but I think I will quickly adjust. For one, I like to work when it's quiet and when there are fewer phone calls. Also, it will allow me to use the gym in the middle of the day. Nice and quiet all around.
There are draw backs, but I'm not thinking of those now because the positives are enough to keep me occupied.
This Sunday I'm going to get in the car with a colleague/friend and drive out of town. Supposedly, an hour from here is that big, open Texas sky I've heard about. Hopefully, there will be enough green and flowers to make it pretty. Though, after three weeks - three weeks? Wow, it's been three weeks. After three weeks in concrete and asphalt suburbia, I'm ready for any kind of undeveloped openess.
Okay. Bed time. My sore arms are pulling to the pillows.
