It's part racing, part showbiz. Some of the rivalries smack of pre-planning. Watching them talk about each other is like watching WWE. I keep waiting for someone to shout "Smackdown!"
I'm tired. In general. A soul weariness. This is why I've not written any entries. I work, I watch t.v., I go to bed. See why my soul is weary? I need to shake myself out of this slump. I will.
I have to go to sleep now. I've watched my t.v.
I'm addicted to the Food Network. Good Eats with Alton Brown and Unwrapped are long-time favorites, but I find the Food Network has become my fall-back channel. Um, that and the Weather Channel. I could say my love of the Weather Channel is an occupational hazard, but I will readily admit that I'm a weather geek. As are many people in my life. I do surround myself with good people.
This hurricane season, at least for our part of the world, has been awfully quiet. A little part of me has begun to hope that the Carribbean/Gulf will not see as many hurricanes as in the past two years. This nascent hope is what will make it all the more painful to see this area get another one of nature's body slam's.
It is going to be 100+ for the foreseeable future. Hell? Nah, it's cooler there.

Sorry to say, but besides the hurricane part, you now know how I felt while living in DC.
