Yeah, well, not so much

Weather let down. I should be used to this, being accustomed to Atlanta's hysteria-prone weatherfolk - it was not so much of what had been predicted. Yes, it was "cold", yes there was some "ice", but only the schools shut down. And any other enterprise that worries about a possible increase in the cost of liability insurance. I didn't even need the new winter coat I've purchased. Good thing, too for it arrived this morning.

The sun is shining, I'm going to wear summer weight chinos and sandals today. I just painted my toenails red and I would be wearing the sandals even if it were 20 degrees and sleeting. I like how the bright red contrasts with the pale foot. Man, my feet are PALE.

Maybe they are so pale because they are sad. The boots from Fluevog, the boots I have been lusting after for almost two years, the boots with the open lacing so I convinced myself they would fit, don't fit. There's not enough lacing in the world to make these boots fit. I must have freakishly large calves. That or only skinny people are the intended wearers of these most wonderful boots. Sigh.
