Sunday

Technology sucks. I want it.

Starbucks pulls you in by saying they have wi-fi. I have never gotten more than half signal and it is never solidly there, even though my computer doesn't move. On again, off again may work for some relationships, but it doesn't work for wi-fi.

Not having internet nor cable is starting to get to me. The guy I rent from is trying to save money and said from the beginning that he wasn't getting cable. I thought I could handle it, but it is proving more difficult than I had anticipated. The Daytona 500 (first Nextel Cup race of the season) is Feburary 18th. Something has to be done by then.

I am growing ever more dissatisfied with my general situation. I want to live in my own space, with my own things set up in the way that best suits me. I want to have cable and a nice t.v., comfortable places to sit and knit or read or watch my nice t.v. - places that aren't my bed.

Boring post. Sorry. My cheeks are hot - this Starbucks is cold and loud. I'm leaving to go curl up - yes, on my bed - and read. Nothing like a little escapism, ya know? I'm reading Wicked (http://www.gregorymaguire.com/books/wicked.html - I'm using Safari as my browser and Blogger isn't so much a fan of Safari). I am enjoying it, but I think I am reading it too fast and am missing some of the underlying messages. Ah, well. I think my life will still be complete.
