playing with the blog

As you can see, I got bored with how the blog looked. I don't post regularly, but I have time to futz with the aesthetics. So what?

I'm in Texas now. Staying with K. in Willow Park. The drive here from Gulfport was easy. Not quite boring as I was listening to The Great Gatsby read by Tim Robbins and thinking through a story that I think I'd like to write. When an idea can be remembered more than a week later... well, it's unusual enough that I am trying to think it through to story form. I've worked through the development to a good measure, but I'm having trouble with an ending.

So, I'm here visiting K. and her new baby. K.'s new baby is sweet. We're going to dinner this evening with a mutual friend. Tomorrow I'm spending the day with K. and then meeting a number of friends for a group dinner. Would you like to know what I had for breakfast and lunch and any number of other boring details? No? Okay. I'll stop now.
