I just felt like it was time to touch base... nothing particularly intersting to share. Work is work, home is home. My niece is wonderful, but that's a given.

I spent last weekend in Gulfport. T. is currently in Texas, so the weekend was spent with her husband B. and the two girls. I adore those kids. It was a good weekend.

This weekend I went to the Falcons' game. Good game, great cheap seats. From the row before the last I could see the entire field without turning my head. Only drawback - walking up those crazy steep stairs. There was also the guy in the row behind us who couldn't keep his mouth shut. Just couldn't shut up. Occasionally, he was amusing, but mostly I just wished he'd shut it.

I finished the Twilight series. When I bought the fourth book, there was a girl ahead of me in line holding the third and fourth books. She couldn't have been more than 16, adorable in her private school uniform. Yes, I am reading teenager books. Eh, they're entertaining and easy reads. Well, the fourth one, not so much, but you have to read it to find out what happens... though, I think I would have been okay if someone had simply summarized the plot for me. I think that would have been just fine.

I've got a stack of mind-stretchers that I need to get into now that I'm through with the fluff. Here's hoping I don't get distracted by some other escapist book.

Cool.. scroll down to April 2008. Who doesn't love a earth-mover you can see from space? I know, it's not the most environmentally friendly machine, but it is kind of cool.

That machine looks too big to be real.
