bright futures

I took a career exploration class today. At one point we were looking at the O*NET site (online occupational data; fabulous, if you're interested in source information for job descriptions). I found it amusing that two careers with 'bright futures' (their term, not mine - denoting growth of 10% or more in the next 8 years): 'Clergy' and 'Substance Abuse and Behavioral Health Disorder Counselors'. There are many others, certainly, but those two make an amusing little snapshot.

Took a GRE practice test last night. Boom. Bits of my pride and confidence are sticking to the walls. I now fear that I shall fail in my efforts to master enough of the quantitative portion to not embarrass myself. I haven't given up studying, but it does feel a bit like climbing up a well shaft with only my fingers and toes.

The kitty I'm fostering is on her back and just crossed her paws over her cute little face. Jen and Scot, yours may be the cutest kitten in the world, but I think Audrey may give Katia an honest run for the title.
