End of May my friend S. saw an ad for PC on the MARTA train and starts talking it up as something he can see me doing and could it hurt to try? I think about it a day or two, as it's something I've considered in the past, and decide now is the time.
June 2, start PC online application
June 22, completed online application
June 24, received information concerning supplemental documentation needed
July 8, completed fingerprints
July 9, mailed supplemental documentation to recruiter, e-mailed additional information, received request to schedule interview, scheduled interview
July 15, interview, tentative nomination waiting for final recommendation
July 26, final recommendation sent to PC
July 27 official nomination
July 30, medical kit mailed to me
September 17, completed medical kit sent to PC
September 21, completed medical kit received by PC
Shortly thereafter, Dental clearance granted
September 30, send e-mail question to handler and receive out of office reply that she no longer works for PC, forward question to general e-mail, receive quick response
November 19, application status updated to show a hold on medical status as it is now under review
November 27, returned home from Thanksgiving at the beach to find a letter requesting a re-do of a test
December 8, faxed results of test re-do to PC nurse, received almost immediate call to confirm receipt and say that she'll check with the PC doctor to see if I'm clear or I shall begin a new healthcare adventure
December 9, provisional medical clearance granted, file forwarded to placement office
December 13, receive e-mail from placement office requesting updated resume, etc.
December 15, submitted additional information
December 22, received e-mail from placement officer requesting additional information to assist her in review
December 26, submitted information in written format to facilitate things in light of the Christmas/New Year's holidays
December 28, application status updated to show that my placement review has been completed and now awaits final medical clearance
December 29, invitation packet arrives. wow. Ukraine, secondary teacher of English.
January 1, send acceptance e-mail.
