It occured to me this morning that volunteering to teach English is the best thing I have done in quite a while. It has revived me, it has revived my faith in my ability to use my brain sucessfully. I cannot quit my job, but I can buckle down and find something new. I am still studying for the GRE (albeit half-assedly), still planning on making applications to grad school in May, and I've just begun planning a trip for September-ish.
Plans are good. Plans are restorative.
